Back to life drawing

My latest life drawing stuff at the moment:

Sketches around Bournemouth and London

I haven't updated for a while since I was working on my graudation film. Nows thats done, I'm slowly getting back to the habit of sketching again.

During my trip down to Bournemouth, I went to the Rusell-Cotes Gallery to do some studys of statues, I really recommended sketching there since the building itself is pretty:

This sketch was an interesting one, me and my friend were drawing together (on the same page) while waiting for another friend to cut his hair:

I thought its about time I finally learn about anatomy, this is a study of the head:

National History Museum Sketches

I've made it a habit to go to the National History Museum and to draw for a couple of hours every week. Here are my drawings so far:

Blue Zone - Martine area:

Green Zone - Minerals section:

The fish looks like its half bird, half fish :)
A drawing of a chicken! Sorry, it's very hard to see. I really like this drawing but I couldn't finish toning it. I'm sure I'll finish it in the future.
This is my first attempt to draw any sort of bones. Its not easy! I think I need more practice.

Doodles on my traveling sketchbook

People always tell me a good way to improve drawings is to travel around with a sketchbook. I gave it a try. These are some of the sketches I have so far:

I don't know why I find this image so charming, maybe its because it feels loose. I drew this during the 'New years Day Parade' during 1st Jan

Drawn in the renaissance statue part at the V+A in Jan.

Drew cartoon ostriches out of boredom

Same goes for here

I was very bored when I was waiting for a delayed train. I tried to tackle foreshortening using my own leg.

I think I'll go back to the 'Natonal Gallery' and draw this Rembrandt painting 'The Feast of Belshazzar' again. I rushed the drawing in Feb >___<

I drew this quick sketch today on the tube.

Nostaglia Drawings

There was a time where I used to draw very well, but I didn't realise it at the time.....until now! I wish I can draw like this again.....here are my past drawings from 3 years ago:

Leonardo Di Vinci Drawings

I have no idea who is the original printer of this drawing.

I think this one was in the National History Museum
and these lovely puffins were drawn from a book

My attempt to draw like before again, this was drawn in Feb 2010:

New pens! and more life drawing

I briefly went into the National History Museum to draw birds. I think I should make this a weekly habit because its lovely to draw in there.

The London graphic store had a 50% off sale. Most of the good stuff were gone but I was able to buy some stuff. I'll use the other ones later but I love the Faber Caster ink pens! I was testing them out during the life drawing class today.

This pose lasted a long time, which is why I drew so many versions of it.

The leg, arms and hands looks a bit off. Forgive me! I'll practice more T____T
